Black Forest Road Bridge Project
Project Description:
Lobato Construction is a subcontractor to Wildcat Construction on this City of Colorado Springs project to reconstruct and widen Black Forest Road between Woodmen Road & Research Parkway. Lobato Construction’s scope of work includes the construction of two new bridges carrying Black Forest Road over Cottonwood Creek. The southbound bridge is a 130’ long, 48’ wide, single span precast/prestressed concrete girder bridge built in two phases. The northbound bridge is a 158’ long, 46’ wide, single span prestressed concrete girder bridge. Other work includes cast in place retaining walls and moment slabs along the approaches to the bridge.
